The MelRish Studio has a new office in Dubai!
When I look back at our journey from 2009, I could not help but be amazed with how good our God is. He has sustained, provided and guided us through the years.
Our first shoot in April 2009 was just for fun but we started getting serious with it when we lost more than half a million dirhams to a business partner who ran away with the money we loaned from the bank which was meant to open a restaurant business. Our full time salaries were not enough so our shoots helped us pay up the installments. After paying up that loan in 5 years, we were finally able to open our own studio in 700sq ft office in Burlington Tower, Business Bay in 2014. You can check out that blog here
After 3 years, we moved to a slightly bigger office and closer to our residence. Our new studio address was 605 Onyx Towers, a new building in The Greens. With God’s grace, our team got bigger and we needed a new office by the end of 2019. We believed that there are far better things ahead and God indeed had a better plan for us. When 2020 started, we dreamed and prayed for a bigger office and our prayer was answered in a few weeks. We signed a lease for a new warehouse in a good location. Then COVID-19 happened and hit us like a bus. Events, our main bread and butter, were stopped and we were left with a shell and core warehouse unit and no funds.
But once again, God has proven that nothing is impossible for Him. We got to put together the walls and basic studio furnishings with little fund. We have basic air-conditioning (although it gets a bit too hot on some days) and the wood pieces on the wall were just scrapwood we bought for a few dirhams. Our team from our second small business, Handy Mady Technical Services, worked hard to put all these together. Even the MelRish Team (our cinematographers and photographers) helped out to complete the work. We have finally moved in last 20th June and we even have welcomed clients in new office in Dubai.

There are no words how to describe this experience and we are in awe how amazing our God is for giving us this new office in Dubai. We are improving it one step at a time. These are challenging times but our God has taken care of us and sustained us. He will take us through this storm. We do not know what the future holds, but we know God will be there and He holds the future.
