Bonjour Paris! We woke up early on day 2 of our Paris trip to catch an early train to Lyon to meet with friends we haven’t met in a long time. Little did we know that the Lyon train is in Gare du Lyon not in Gare du Nord. So we had to ride the subway going there so we missed the 8:57 train. Anyways, we enjoyed the experience of getting lost.
Lyon was 2 hours away by train from Paris and we reached there just in time for lunch. Emilie and Micael welcomed us in their beautiful home in the heart of Lyon and we were so delighted to meet Adam again. Last time we saw him, he was not even a month old and now he is 2!
It was also the first time for us to meet the twins! Aren’t they lovely?
It was an enjoyable lunch and then we had a chocolate fountain for dessert. We were blessed to be with these friends once again. We also met new friends! It was truly an amazing day!
Our way back to Paris was much easier without us getting lost. The green fields were refreshing to see and a light drizzle made the weather even cooler.
We reached Bir Hakeim station (the station closest to our apartment hotel) at dusk and kind strangers volunteered to click us this family photo when they saw us struggling to get the sparkling Eiffel in the backdrop.
To the Connessons, we are so glad to meet you again. Thank you for the thoughtful gifts and yes, we did have a sumptuous French dinner before we left Paris. Hope to see you again! God bless you guys! Hugs to the kids!
