P.S. Keep an eye out for MelRish’s easter egg-samples marked in red! You’ve got to keep your eyes peeled while you read this one loaded with visual examples for you to understand better!
First things first, let’s talk about the elephant in the room (or in this case, the elephant in the photo). Photos and videos are a great way for attendees to remember the highlights of your event on Social Media. It captures moments of everything happening – the stage, the food, the decorations, and most importantly, people experiencing what you have to offer and having the time of their lives. These memories will last a lifetime and will make attendees want to come back for more.
But it’s not just about the attendees, it’s also about you. Photos and videos can serve as a powerful marketing tool for Social Media. For example, like how we helped boost tourism in Saudi Arabia with just our Reels! Think about it, when you see a photo of a group of people having a blast at an event, it makes you want to be a part of the fun, right?
The same goes for videos, seeing all the action and excitement can make people want to experience it for themselves. So, not only are you providing attendees with memories, but you’re also giving them a sneak peek into what they can expect at future events.
Now, let’s talk about the different ways you can incorporate photos and videos into your event. One way is to have a designated photo booth area. This can be as simple as setting up a backdrop and some props or as elaborate as hiring a photo booth company to provide a more interactive experience. Not only is it a fun way for attendees to capture memories, but it also provides a great opportunity for branding. You can include your event’s logo or theme in the background of the photos, making them not only a memory but also a walking advertisement.
Another way to incorporate photos and videos is to have a designated photographer and videographer. This is a great option for larger events where there may be multiple things happening at once. Having professionals capturing all the action ensures that nothing is missed and that the quality of the photos and videos is top-notch. Plus, they can also provide you with the content to use for future marketing efforts.
MelRish covers several corporate and miscellaneous events all throughout the UAE. Some of the profound events covered are EPEX, Middle East Fashion Week, Dubai Muscle Show, F1 Grand Prix, GWE, Dubai Run, Dubai Ride, World Policy Conference, and lots more that you can find on our Instagram!
But what about those attendees who want to capture their own memories? Well, that’s where the power of social media comes in. Encourage attendees to take photos and videos and use a specific event hashtag. Not only does this provide a way for attendees to share their memories with others, but it also creates a virtual scrapbook of the event. Plus, it’s a great way to track engagement and reach on social media.
Lastly, instead of just capturing the traditional “cheese” smile, try to capture the emotion and atmosphere of the event. For example, instead of just taking a photo of the food, take a photo of an attendee taking a bite and looking blissful. Instead of just filming the keynote speaker, film the audience’s reaction to the speech. These types of photos and videos provide a more authentic and engaging experience for the viewer. You may also know these shots as “candid shots”.
In conclusion, photos and videos are a powerful tool for making your event a success. The right content serves as a marketing tool for future events, and offers a way to track engagement and reach on social media. So, don’t be afraid to get snap-happy and start filming, because the memories and marketing potential are worth it.
And do you know what this can lead to? Our tips do not stop here! What happens to the content after it is posted on Social Media? How do you acquire discoverability with your well-planned-out-content online?
Social Media is like an extensive search engine – everybody depends on Instagram, TikTok & YouTube to search up what intrigues them. For this reason, it’s the perfect vehicle for people to discover your brand.
Almost every brand nowadays is marketed online. In fact, I’m sure you’re aware that brands have several discoverability options, aka, they spread their wings wide on different Social Media platforms, to ensure it reaches a wider audience.
There are different approaches to marketing your brand online. Today, we will focus on the How? As in, how do people find my brand on Instagram? And how can I assure my brand reaches the right audience? Dig these tips!
Let’s break this down into 4 simple and easy steps:
- STEP 1: Add a KEYWORD to your name.
Adding a keyword to your name on Instagram is the first step in guiding people to find you fast. For example, if you are an independent Nail Artist, your account’s name can be “Professional Nail Artist in [Location]”.
Adding your location or city streamlines your audience and grabs the attention of those in your proximity, thereby boosting local sales. Of course this wouldn’t matter if your goods or services can be provided remotely. For example, if you are a Graphic Designer or Video Editor.
- STEP 2: Research and Identify the top Keywords in your industry, and use them in your Profile’s Bio.
You can easily achieve this by “stalking” or looking into the profiles of your competitors. Shhh, don’t tell them we told you this!
- STEP 3: Use the same Keywords as targeted hashtags in the descriptions of your Posts and Reels!
Targeted hashtags and power words are also super easy to find on your competitor’s profiles. You could also think of certain relevant hashtags by newsjacking and keeping up with the latest trends. Certain Social Media platforms have certain sections in their app dedicated to keeping up with trends. For example, Instagram has the Explore page and Twitter has a panel for Trends, Current News etc.
- STEP 4: Try to tag relevant profiles while posting in order to increase your discoverability to their followers!
You can always tag people who have a similar style as you – especially if they are also looking to increase their reach and network with others in the same industry.
